Job Summary
Lucky Agency is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Music Booking Agent to lead booking initiatives for our high-profile artist roster. The Senior Booking Agent will secure premium performance opportunities, negotiate complex contracts, and foster key industry relationships while mentoring junior agents. This role demands deep music industry expertise, exceptional leadership, and a proven track record of delivering results in a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Artist Representation: Serve as the lead representative for high-profile artists, aligning performance opportunities with their long-term career goals and brand vision.
- Premium Booking Opportunities: Identify and secure high-value gigs at prestigious venues, major festivals, and exclusive events, both domestically and internationally.
- Complex Contract Negotiation: Negotiate high-stakes performance contracts, including fees, riders, and ancillary revenue streams (e.g., merchandise, sponsorships), ensuring optimal outcomes for artists and promoters.
- Industry Leadership: Build and maintain strategic relationships with top promoters, venue directors, festival organizers, and other key stakeholders to enhance Lucky Agency’s reputation and network.
- Tour Strategy and Execution: Develop and oversee comprehensive tour plans, including routing, logistics, and budget management, in collaboration with artists, managers, and tour teams.
- Market Expertise: Leverage deep industry knowledge to identify emerging trends, new markets, and innovative booking opportunities that position Lucky Agency as a market leader.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior booking agents, providing training, feedback, and support to build a high-performing booking team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Lucky Agency’s marketing, PR, and management teams to amplify artist visibility and ensure cohesive promotional strategies.
- Administrative Oversight: Ensure accurate contract management, financial documentation, and performance scheduling, delegating tasks as needed while maintaining accountability.

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in music booking, talent management, or a senior role within the music industry, with a proven track record of booking high-profile artists.
- Industry Expertise: Extensive knowledge of the Australian music ecosystem, including major venues, festivals, and promoter networks.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team, with experience managing or supervising others in a professional setting.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and align booking decisions with broader artist and agency goals.
- Organizational Excellence: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage high-profile artists and complex schedules under tight deadlines.
- Passion for Music: A deep passion for music, with a versatile understanding of multiple genres and the ability to identify marketable talent.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google DocS, CRM software, booking platforms, and contract management tools.
