There's a version of your career in music that doesn't start with luck. It starts with knowing how the industry actually works — who books the shows, who mixes the room, who signs the deals, and how all of it fits together on the night.
That's what we teach at Industri. And on Sunday 23 August, we're opening our doors so you can see it for yourself.
What's happening on the day
Our Open Day runs from 11am to 2pm at 120 King Street, Melbourne. It's a relaxed, drop-in format. Just come with your questions.
You'll be able to:
- Meet our educators and hear how the courses are actually taught — by people working in the industry right now, not reading from a decade-old textbook.
- Explore both programs up close: the Associate Degree in Live Music Business and the Associate Degree in Live Music Production.
- Ask the real questions — about fees, applications, what a week of study looks like, and where our students end up.
- Get a feel for the place and the people you'd be studying alongside.
Two ways into the industry
Live Music Business is for the people who make it all happen behind the scenes — booking, promoting, marketing, managing artists, and building the commercial side of live music.
Live Music Production is for the people who make it sound and feel right — live sound, staging, event production, and the technical craft of putting on a show.
Both are hands-on, industry-connected qualifications that start at Diploma level and progress to an Associate Degree. And both are built around one idea: you learn this industry by being in it.
