About the job

Join the Frontier Touring team…. (Please note the specific application process to follow below)

Australia and New Zealand’s leading concert promoter, Frontier Touring are looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Office Manager to join our South Melbourne team. Reporting to the EA to CEO, this is an administrative role that requires strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as it acts as a key connector between internal departments. The successful candidate will have really strong initiative, great attention to detail, , strong organisational and problem-solving skills and be able to autonomously juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced, fun and creative environment.

This is not a role for someone looking to break into the music industry and transfer into a different role. It is, however, an incredible opportunity for a career administrator, with proven experience running a small-med office, to work in a fun and creative environment. This is a full-time position working onsite for 5 days in our South Melbourne office from 9:15am – 5:45pm.

About Frontier Touring…

Frontier Touring, a part of the Mushroom Group, is one of the most highly respected, long-standing and proactive concert promoters in the world. Since its formation in late 1979, Frontier Touring has had a fundamental role in entertaining Australians and New Zealanders for more than three decades.

The artists toured by Frontier Touring read as a who’s who of the music world – Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran, Paul McCartney, Eagles, The Rolling Stones, Tom Jones, Leonard Cohen, Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, Shawn Mendes, Foo Fighters, Jack White, Sam Smith, Billy Joel, Rod Stewart, Frank Sinatra, Kylie Minogue – and more recently Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Lorde and so many more.

About the role:

This role is the glue that keeps our office together. Yes, the dishwasher and restocking the kitchen fall into your remit, but this role really is so much more. You are an essential part of keeping things running smoothly so that our team can bring shows to life for artists. We need someone who innately walks through spaces and checks everything is in order, anticipates when things are running low and restocks them and plans for what is coming up without being asked. These things might seem small but, for us it is really important!

Other than running our office, this role also plays a key role in our Community Management with fans.

As well as being organised with great attention to detail, you will also have strong written and verbal communication skills and prioritise relationship management, never hesitating to talk through challenges and solve problems. You will be confident adapting to working with changing priorities and comfortable working with ambiguity.

Given your admin background, you will also have strong technology and social media skills, an eye for formatting and be able to pick up systems and procedures quickly. This will include maintaining digital filing systems, calendars, schedules and databases, as well as providing general administrative support to the business as required.

Most days there are multiple spinning plates for this varied role, and we need someone who has the life experience to navigate this and make sure that nothing slips through the cracks. The nature of this role will allow you build strong relationships across the business and to gain a broad understanding of business. Your ability to be both proactive, as well as to quickly respond to internal and external enquiries, will be essential to your success in the role. With a busy year ahead, we are really looking for someone who is excited by this challenge and can hit the ground running.

Given the nature of the industry, there will be times when we will need you to work outside of normal hours and you will have the opportunity to attend gigs.

So that we can see more about you and your personality that we can’t see from a resume, part of this application process includes you doing a short video (1 min max) telling us your story, what excites you about this role and your favourite gig. We’re not looking for film skills or super extroverted personalities – just you on your phone in front of a white wall is fine. Note that we won’t be considering any applications that don’t complete this part of the application process.

If you love music and this is a role that excites you, and would love to work in a creative, fast paced and fun environment with a close and passionate team, then please send us through your resume and a link to where you have hosted your video (please don’t send the file). We can’t wait to hear from you!

NOTE - Only people who have existing eligible working rights for Australia will be considered for this role. Please do not apply if you don't hold these
