The Forum
Why you should go
Mogwai play The Forum on 25 May, marking 30 years as one of the most distinct and consistently uncompromising bands in post-rock.
Formed in Glasgow in the mid-90s, they built a sound around dynamic extremes, long instrumental passages that move between near-silence and walls of noise and then spent three decades refining it across 11 studio albums without ever much caring whether it was fashionable.
Their latest, The Bad Fire, produced by John Congleton at Chem19 studios in Scotland, arrived last year to strong critical reception and sits comfortably alongside the catalogue rather than departing from it. The anniversary tour draws from across that body of work. Worth noting: $1 from every ticket sold goes to War Child, supporting children affected by conflict.
